Sabre Welcomes Dowling to MA Region

Sabre Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the recent addition of Hampton Dowling, who will serve as Senior Executive Director for the company’s Mid-Atlantic (MA) Region. In this capacity, Mr. Dowling is responsible for managing Networks and Illicit Trafficking (CNIT) Programs, Secure Logistics and Operations with additional emphasis on integrated business and tactical solutions that address homeland security related challenges of partner nations, critical private sector initiatives, and various offices and agencies within the US public sector.

Mr. Dowling’s career spans more than 30 years of service to industry and the nation. Prior to joining Sabre, Mr. Dowling was a Managing Partner of The HCB Group LLC, a professional advisory and services company that shapes and satisfies related international opportunities. Mr. Dowling was also a director in companies such as L3 Communications and DRS Technical Services, and held senior program management positions with Lockheed Martin Corporation and SAIC. In 2010, Mr. Dowling led contracted classified assessment and strategy development activities in support of the counter-narcoterrorism community within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Mr. Dowling has testified before US congressional sub-committees, is a frequent speaker and panel member at international forums, and a featured contributor to US and foreign trade publications. He has also served as a Special Assistant to the Vice President of the United States and was a Senior Program Manager at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Mr. Dowling was also a Commander in the US Navy (Surface Warfare). He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) in both private industry and the US Department of Defense.

According to the Group Vice President of the MA Region, Glen Ives, “Hampton is a recognized international authority on today’s virtual and physical challenges to national sovereignty, secure commerce, as well as supply chains and their related technologies. He has held senior leadership positions in both industry and the United States Navy, and brings a wealth of practical experience and knowledge in managing and executing very large and complex international programs with a multitude of diverse and urgent requirements. Very few rival his leadership and expertise in these critical areas, and we are excited and delighted to have him aboard as part of our Sabre team.”
